VENUE

Santander, a modern and cosmopolitan city with a rich historical past, has become an ideal location for conventions, meetings and conferences.

The conference will take place in Santander's Festival Hall, located between the city centre and the Sardinero area on a privileged site surrounded by beautiful beaches and with spectacular views of the bay.

Santander Airport
Santander’s Festival Hall is only 7 kilometres from the airport. The airline RYANAIR provides direct domestic connections with Madrid, Alicante, Barcelona and Reus as well as with European cities such as Dublin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, London, Milan and Rome. AIRNOSTRUM also provides regular flights with the following Spanish cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca and Las Palmas.

Bilbao Airport
Bilbao International Airport, only 100 kilometres from Santander, has direct and regular connections with the main European capital cities. There is a continuous taxi and bus service between Santander and Bilbao.

BY SEA

Santander’s Ferry Port is located only a few metres from the Pereda Gardens and Pereda Avenue, in the heart of the city. There is one weekly ferry to Plymouth in United Kingdom from March to November.
Passengers can also board at Roscoff and Saint Malo (Brittany, France) and at Cherbourg and Caën ( Normandie, France ). It is also possible to take a longer ferry to Cork ( Ireland ).

BY TRAIN

RENFE Railway Station is located at the "Plaza de las Estaciones" in the centre of Santander. It offers a daily ALVIA train to Madrid-Alicante, a daily TALGO and express train to Madrid and an Intercity service to Albacete, Alicante, Avila, Madrid, Palencia and Valladolid.
It also offers a regional train service between Reinosa and Santander.

From Bilbao via the A-8
From Madrid via the A-1 to Burgos and the N-623, crossing the "Puerto del Escudo" mountain pass.
From Barcelona via the N-II to Logroño and joining the A8 in Bilbao.
From Oviedo via the A-66 to Unquera, the A-8 to Torrelavega and finally the A-67 to Santander.
From León via the N-621 and crossing the "Puerto de S. Glorio" mountain pass.
From Palencia via the N611 through "Reinosa" and "Torrelavega."
